Former Premier League footballer Christian Atsu is among the many people suffering as a result of the recent earthquake in Turkey.
A 7.7 magnitude earthquake hit the region between the Turkey and Syria borders early on Monday morning.
According to Haber Global, footballers from the Marasspor team may have been staying at a hotel that was destroyed in the quake.
Atsu, who plays for Hatayspor, may also have been caught up in the chaos.
His club's sporting director, Taner Savut, is also trapped at present.
“Hatay is in a very bad way," Zeynep Sever Demirel, the wife of Hatayspor manager Volkan Demirel, said in a video shared on social media.
