The Football Association will contact Crystal Palace over an incident in which the Newcastle skipper, Fabricio Coloccini, was struck by a coin at Selhurst Park but will take no disciplinary action against the club. Coloccini was hit in the face as Newcastle United celebrated their goal during Wednesday evening's 1-1 draw.

The FA will contact Palace to offer their help in trying to track down the perpetrator.
