Ex-Sunderland boss Di Canio interested in Rotherham vacancy

Press Association Sport is reporting that former Sunderland boss Paolo Di Canio's representatives have contacted Championship club Rotherham about their vacant managerial position.

The colourful Italian has been out of work since leaving the Black Cats in September 2013, but is keen to return to game and his representatives sounded out the potential for him to become Steve Evans' successor at the South Yorkshire club.

However, the Millers have indicated they have no interest in the 47-year-old, who has a promotion on his CV during his time at Swindon, becoming their new boss.
