Watford have secured the loan signing of Italian veteran Marco Cassetti from Udinese.

The 35-year old defender, who was released by AS Roma earlier this summer, has linked up with new Hornets boss Gianfranco Zola on a one-year deal.

Cassetti kicked off his career with Montichiari in 1996 and has since played for Lumezzane, Veron and Lecce. He has also made five international appearances for Italy and won two Coppa Italia's with Roma.
