Former Real Madrid captain Michel insists they can win the Champions League this season.

Michel is confident Real Madrid can again prove their European credentials, with a quarterfinal due against Liverpool.

Speaking on El Transistor, Michel says Real Madrid “is always a favourite. Even when things were worse, they won the Champions League".

Regarding the LaLiga, he indicated that he does not believe that Atlético Madrid has lowered their level and that the four-point advantage "is more than interesting".

Regarding Barçelona, he commented that “they are going through a good moment but they have ups and downs like in the tie with PSG".

The former Real defender also said that “I am very fond of (Erling) Haaland , I like (Kylian) Mbappé but I am more fond of Haaland".
