Former Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo has opened up about a failed move to Everton.
The Argentine was excited to join the Toffees in the summer of 2019, four years ago, but the move did not materialize.
Rojo was not first choice at United, but it appears he was not allowed to move on for the terms that Everton were offering.
I was about to leave for Everton, I had said goodbye to my teammates, I grabbed my boots and everything," he told MSN.
“I waved to everyone because I was leaving, but there was a fight between the owners of Everton and Manchester.
“They were at loggerheads and wouldn't let me go, the next day I had to go back to training with all the stuff."
