Former Manchester City midfielder Michael Brown is backing Kalvin Phillips' move to West Ham.

Phillips is set to join West Ham on-loan for the remainder of the season.

Brown told BBC Sport: "I think it Kalvin Phillips would be a great signing for West Ham. The staff have spoken out whenever they have had the chance and said they would love to have him there.

"I'd probably look at it if I was Kalvin Phillips and think it's chance to play regularly and want to make Gareth Southgate's squad in the summer.

"But I think he's probably still be in his plans. Does he need to go out an be judged on loan?"
