Former Manchester City fullback Richard Edgehill believes Gael Clichy is under pressure going into the new season.
Edgehill has questioned the defensive ability of the left-back
He told the Manchester Evening News: "He's a typical Arsene Wenger-type player who is very good on the ball. But defensively he's not always with it. Still, he is one of those who always works hard, is dedicated.
"I think Kolarov will start the new season as Manuel Pellegrini's first choice on the left, but he will rotate with Clichy. City are battling on four fronts and no one can play every game in such a packed fixture list.
"There are going to be injuries, but Pellegrini will know he has two very good left backs to choose from."
