Former Newcastle United player Steve Harper has left his position as the club's academy goalkeeping coach.

The former Magpies shot stopper was working with the likes of Ben Dawson as part of the academy setup at Tyneside.

However, he is set to leave so that he can pursue other opportunities.

Per Chronicle Live, there is no bad blood and Harper is leaving with the good will of the club.

Newcastle will appoint a new coach to replace him in due time.
