Ex-Getafe wing-back Mathias Olivera proud to be latest Uruguayan to make Napoli move

Former Getafe wing-back Mathias Olivera is delighted to have signed for Napoli.

The Uruguay international was presented to the local media this morning.

Olivera admits the chance to play in the Champions League with Napoli was an attraction: "When the time comes I'll enjoy it. Now I don't think about it so much, but I think about first, the championship."

"I've always liked Martin Caceres, who played for a long time in Italy. I respect Theo Hernandez, I know he's a strong player and has similar characteristics to mine from an attacking point of view, but I don't like this comparison."

Olivera is happy to be the latest Uruguayan to play for Napoli.

"It is a pride that there have been so many Uruguayans here who have had a high level. I hope to do well, to have fun with my teammates. For the club and for the fans. I am very excited to wear this shirt, I tried it recently and it's really beautiful.

"It's difficult to describe yourself, I don't know. But I want to give a lot, on the pitch as well as off the pitch. I'm a player who gives everything for the shirt, so that Napoli get as high as possible. Am I generous? Yes."
