Released Everton midfielder Tom Davies is training with Bristol Rovers.

Bristol Live says the free agent is now doing preseason with manager Joey Barton's Rovers.

Davies is a free agent after turning down a new contract offer from Everton.

A move to Rangers has been mooted, while Premier League and Championship interest has also arrived.

Davies, 25, joined Everton aged 11 and went on to make 179 appearances for his boyhood club.
