Ex-Everton chief Wyness calls for Masters resignation

Former Everton chief exec Keith Wyness has called for Richard Masters resignation.

Wyness has slammed the Premier League CEO over his handling of the Profit and Sustainability rulings which has seen Everton now charged for the second time.

He told Football Insider's Inside Track podcast: "I don't think Masters is up for this job. He's leading the Premier League down rabbit holes which are overly detailed.

"In the time when I was on the Premier League board, Richard Scudamore led the league. I can assure you, we'd have found ways around this without the mess we're now involved in. This comes down to Masters' experience, and I'm afraid to say I'm calling for his resignation.

"The handling of this is just making the Premier League, which is a great product worldwide, a laughing stock."
