Craig Beattie could be on his way to Rangers this summer with reports suggesting manager Ally McCoist is keen on his services.
The 28-year old is out of contract at Heart of Midlothian and is set to move on with a move to Ibrox a possibility, dependent on which division the club will play in next season.
Rangers' newco lost a vote to stay in the Scottish Premier League and could drop down as a far as the Third Division which would more than likely scupper a deal for Beattie.
However, if 'Gers are put into the First Division then the former Celtic, West Bromwich Albion and Swansea City man may be joining ex-Hearts teammate Ian Black in Glasgow.
