Former Newcastle United midfielder Lee Bowyer has raised eyebrows with his latest career choice.
The ex-Leeds United and England star is taking up the role as Montserrat national team manager.
The 46-year-old was fired last year from Birmingham City and has not worked since then.
Bowyer is now back in the game and saw his new team win 3-2 against Barbados.
“I've been out to my lake in France doing a bit of maintenance," he had told talkSPORT recently.
“On the football side of things, I'm waiting. I'm waiting for the right job to come along because I love football and I love passing on my knowledge.
“I've worked with top players, I've worked against top players and against top managers. I've learned a lot and I want to keep passing it on and improving players."
