Former Atletico Madrid midfielder Milinko Pantic was delighted for the fans after their derby victory over Real Madrid.

The 1-0 win came via Yann Carrasco's first-half penalty.

Afterwards, Pantic said: "I'm leaving very happy. Three important points. The team in general has played very well, we missed the goal that we've been lacking lately, but they played very well. In the second half, we missed four very clear chances to calm down and not suffer as we did.

"You can't demand that Real Madrid come out today like against Manchester City, it's normal.

"Then, if you don't finish off and don't finish, Real Madrid grows, with inertia it puts you inside and you suffer. We have suffered a lot, if it is not for (Jan) Oblak it could be much worse. But for me, Atlético was much better today.

"The penalty? At first it seems not, but in the repetition it is seen that (Jesus) Vallejo steps on him a little. For me, it was a penalty.
