Former Arsenal defender Sead Kolasinac is delighted with his move to Olympique Marseille.
Kolasinac joined OM this week, penning a contract to 2023.
He said at his presentation yesterday: "I had good conversations with Pablo (Longoria, president). I followed the club because I knew players here. It is a new opportunity for me and I'm very happy to be here.
"My nickname comes from Bosnia, it comes from my style of play, the way I play.
"To be honest, I don't like my nickname. I prefer "Sead" or "Kola".
"I like to play in both systems. I can play in a defence of 4 or 3. I play where the coach tells me to play. Both positions suit me, left-back or centre-back.
"I haven't had a lot of playing time this season and I was injured with the national team. I worked hard to come back. I worked alone for 4-5 weeks with the physical trainers. I feel ready.
"I spoke with the coach but we did not talk about a position on the pitch. I spoke a lot with the president, I felt that they wanted me here. It is very important and it made my choice easier.
"Both sides wanted an 18-month contract. I think to finish the season well. I am mainly concentrating on finishing the season well with OM.
"I met my teammates and the staff on Wednesday for the first time. Knowing players helps with integration.
"Of course, I know the OM players, I follow football. I followed OM because I know Mattéo Guendouzi and Amine Harit. The squd is of quality, the team showed positive things in the first half of the season."
