Premier League giants Everton have turned down a £4 million bid from Ipswich Town for Ellis Simms.
The youngster, who is entering the final year of his contract with the club, was immense for manager Sean Dyche towards the end of last season.
While he is not yet a first team regular, Dyche does need goalscorers, and does not want to lose Simms.
The 22-year-old managed to score one vital goal for the Toffees in the Premier League last season.
He had spent the first half of the campaign on loan at Sunderland, scoring 7 goals in 17 Championship games.
Everton are hoping they can get Simms to agree to a new contract in the coming weeks.
