Evra calls on Man Utd fans to stop 'hating our players'

Manchester United legend Patrice Evra has demanded that his old club's supporters get behind the team.

The Red Devils had to rely on a Harry Maguire header and a late Andre Onana penalty save to secure a 1-0 home win over FC Copenhagen in the Champions League group stages.

It's a result that allows United to close within a point of second placed Galatasaray in the group.

Evra, who has won the competition with United, was delighted with the scenes at the final whistle as United celebrated all three points.

Post-game, Evra took to Instagram to write: "I'm begging all my @manchesterunited fans to keep supporting every player on this team thank you @harrymaguire93 and @andreonana.24 never give up #ilovethisgame #positive4evra #manchesterunited."

He then posted in the comments of a highlights video of Onana's save, stating: “The hate has to stop please," alongside a praying hands emoji
