Everton upbeat over Vaughan progress

Everton physio Mick Rathbone has delivered an upbeat report on injury-plagued striker James Vaughan.

Vaughan dislocated his shoulder in a pre-season game at Preston in the summer. After sustaining the injury he then had surgery on the joint.

"James Vaughan is eight weeks post-injury and seven weeks post-op," Rathbone told evertonTV, "He is running comfortably now.

"With injuries like that it is a while before you can hold people off or fall on the arm so he's a way off yet."
