Everton U23 coach David Unsworth says Tyias Browning is close to leaving on-loan.

Browning, 24, spent the majority of last season with Sunderland before injury cut his stay with the soon-to-be relegated Championship outfit short. He has also had spells with Wigan and Preston.

"I'm hopeful. Hopeful of Tyias, he might have something very soon to announce," Unsworth said.

“Certainly, hopefully, Tyias, in the next 24-48 hours we might have something to announce."

The centre-back was absent from Unsworth's U23 side that dispatched Chelsea 2-0 at Southport's Merseyrail Community Stadium on Monday night.
