Everton and Tottenham have made contact with Catania for striker Maxi Lopez. The Argentine is ready to leave Catania in January and has been confirmed as a target for AC Milan, only should they fail to land Manchester City rebel Carlos Tevez.

TMW says Premier League clubs have been alerted to Maxi's availability and Catania are now fielding interest from English teams.

Tottenham and Everton are both in talks with the Sicilians about a price for the former Barcelona centre-forward.
