Everton youngster Tom Cannon is enjoying himself at present with the Under-21 side.

The talented teenager, who was in Australia with the first team last week, scored in stoppage-time to manage a 2-1 comeback victory for Everton's Under-21s against Mansfield Town.

They will now take on Lincoln City in the next round of the Papa Johns Trophy.

Everton did have a senior player in their team for the match, with Ben Godfrey playing as he continues to recover from injury.

The 24-year-old was involved for the entire match, playing alongside Reece Welch and captain-for-the-night Joe Anderson in defense.

Mansfield were the better side early in the game, but Everton U21s eventually took control and sealed the win.
