Everton midfielder Tom Davies is leaving their Sydney tour due to a knee injury.
Davies sustained the issue during a session in Sydney ahead of the club's match with Celtic - the first of two games for the Blues in Sydney Super Cup, which they won 4-2 on penalties after it finished 0-0 after 90 minutes at the ACCOR Stadium.
Davies will undergo a scan in England as club medics await further details on the extent of the problem.
The injury is a significant blow for the 24-year-old, who was expected to get a chance to stake a claim for further first-team involvement during the matches against Celtic and Western Sydney Wanderers.
