Everton manager Dyche: Prem decision? I've no clue

Everton manager Sean Dyche has admitted he doesn't know when the club's appeal will have a verdict.

The Blues are hoping to get a ten point deduction reduced or removed by the Premier League.

However, Dyche has not been told when the club can expect the Premier League or an independent body to rule on the matter.

Asked about the situation by reporters on Thursday, the Everton manager replied: "No, we haven't got a clue or certainly I don't have at the moment.

"The guideline is that it will be at the end of the month so we'll have to wait and see. It's in everyone's interest and the greater good of football [to have an outcome soon]."

On how the players are being impacted, he added: "It will be helpful if it is sooner rather than later, but I don't know about the legal process, the timescales and why it is taking so long, so we will just have to wait and see.

"The players are working very hard, very diligently and I am very pleased with what they are doing on a daily basis and in the games - when we get it right and even in times we haven't.

"I don't think it is [in their minds] in a literal way on a daily basis, but I am sure it is in the back of their minds. They are still wondering 'when are you going to tell us where we are at and give us more of a factual view of it?'.

"As I told you originally, we are of the same mindset, it is what it is. We look at where it is now and see what comes. Unfortunately, that process is taking some time."
