Everton are in advanced talks to sign Sporting CP midfielder Matheus Nunes.

Not only is Nuno Espirito Santo set to be appointed as Everton's new manager but that Sporting midfielder Nunes will also join the club in the coming days.

The 22-year-old had been heavily linked with Newcastle United over the last few weeks and they considered a loan to buy option of €13m in January, which was rejected.

Everton could offer €20m for the permanent signing.
