Everton have reportedly identified Swansea skipper Ashley Williams as a potential replacement for John Stones, if the highly sought-after 21-year-old leaves Goodison Park this summer.
Chelsea have recently submitted a third bid of £30million for Stones, and while it appears as though the Toffees will turn down that offer, it is understood the Merseyside club are putting contingencies in place if Chelsea submit an offer that is too good to refuse.
The Mirror is reporting Williams is at the top of such a list, with the 30-year-old Welsh international having worked with Everton boss Roberto Martinez while the two were at Swansea earlier in their careers.
