Everton assistant manager Graeme Jones admits he is excited by Muhamed Besic's potential.

While Everton endured a difficult campaign last season, one of the shining lights for the Toffees was the performance of summer signing Besic.

Besic more than acquitted himself during his debut campaign in England and now Jones has expressed his excitement at seeing the Bosnian international develop further next season.

Jones told the Liverpool Echo: "I think you'll find again like a similar situation to Muhamed that he'll reflect on everything and come back a fresher, hungrier and more aware footballer.

"We'll be excited to see his progress next season."
