Everton are planning to make a shock swoop for Galatasaray star Wesley Sneijder, according to reports in Turkey.

Ronald Koeman has recently been appointed as manager of Everton and the Dutchman is expected to bring a host of high profile players to Goodison Park this summer.

Now in a surprise link, reports emerging out of Turkey claim that Everton are currently considering a move for Dutch international Sneijder.

The 32-year-old, who is likely to cost the Toffees around £5million, won the Eredivisie title with Ajax under Koeman in 2004 as well as two Dutch Cups.
