Everton director of football Kevin Thelwell has admitted that he's unsure about the way the January transfer window will unfold.
The Toffees are in financial trouble and have been given a ten point deduction for breaching Premier League regulations.
With Everton majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri selling his stake of 84 percent to 777 Partners, the club is in a state of flux.
"Right at this moment, who knows because we are in the middle of a takeover and we're not quite sure how long that takeover is going to take," Thelwell told the VSI Sporting Directors' Podcast.
"We are in the middle of an independent commission around PSR. I'm not quite sure what the answer is to that.
“We have to plan for every eventuality. The one thing they (fans) can depend on is that we will be looking at ways to improve the team."
