Everton are chasing Hannover striker Didier Ya Konan.
The Daily Star says Ivorian Ya Konan, 29, is out of contract this summer and weighing up Hannover's offer of a new three-year deal.
But the Toffees want to swoop in and sign him on a free transfer before he commits his future to Hannover.
Ya Konan has been named Ivory Coast's World Cup squad.
