Everton captain Coleman talks up Ancelotti aura

Everton captain Seamus Coleman says the players are enjoying the system employed by manager Carlo Ancelotti.

Coleman says Saturday's 1-1 draw with West Ham United provides a springboard for Everton to “continue climbing" under “proven winner" Ancelotti.

“We came here wanting to win but were off the pace in the first half and West Ham were the better team, which was disappointing for us – but the positive is we came out with a point and earlier in the season we might have gone for it and ended up losing the game," Coleman told evertontv.

“We have a home game next and if we get three points from that match we keep climbing.

“It will be a great point [from West Ham] if we can get all three on Tuesday.

“Confidence is high at the minute. The manager has been great. He carries the personality of a manager who has been so successful in the game

“But you can see the human side to him, as well.

“As a person he has been different class.

“We should be very excited to have a manager like this in charge.

“Players, supporters, we all back this – even if we have some sticky spells, we back it because he is a proven winner and that is what this club needs."
