Everton are finalising a deal for Wigan Athletic striker Arouna Kone.
The Daily Mail says Kone has undergone a medical at Everton today with the Toffees set to beat Newcastle United to the £5million striker.
New Everton boss Roberto Martinez looks to have sealed a reunion with the 29-year-old, who he managed when he was in charge at the DW Stadium.
Kone turned down a £6million move to Tyneside earlier in the week.
