Everton boss Marco Silva has defended their decision to buy Yerry Mina from Barcelona.
The player has struggled with injuries at Everton having arrived with a broken foot in the summer that delayed his debut until November, but his manager insisted it wasn't a gamble to sign the Colombian.
“I disagree with you in this situation," said Silva, ahead of Saturday's trip to West Ham. "Look at how much Bayern Munich just spent on a left-back (Lucas Hernandez) from Atletico Madrid with a problem. They spent €80m, because of his quality.
“It was not so clear for us the player was injured. We spent the money because we believe in what he can do as a football player."
