David Moyes is not getting carried with Steven Naismith's performance despite him scoring a hat-trick on Wednesday night. The Scottish international only joined the Toffees on a free transfer in July.
Moyes told the club's official site: "He had a great opening and he's a player who's got a goal in him, we know that.
"Hopefully when we get him right - because you've got to remember he's missed nine months of football and we're not rushing things with him - hopefully we'll see a few more goals from him.
"In the end I think he'll be a good Everton player and we'll just need to give him time.
"I don't want people to think it'll happen overnight."
