Everton boss Moyes: Anichebe well-suited to European game

Everton boss Dave Moyes believes Victor Anichebe's game is well-suited to European football.

Ahead of their clash with SK Brann, Moyes told evertonfc.com: "I think part of it is the unknown quantity and also I think his style can be suited. I am not so sure if James Vaughan's style would be quite so suited but my take on it is Victor has got a style which suited for European games.

"He has got strength and he is beginning to feel really good and confident about the games. So that helps us when we want to bring him on later in games or in some cases start them."

Moyes revealed that James Vaughan's attritional style of forward play may put him in difficulties with continental referees.

"Victor has got strength and James Vaughan has a robustness which referees in Europe may not allow whereas in the Premier League is it allowed," said the boss. "Victor has got strength and he can hold the ball up well, he can gain us possession and keep it for us."
