Everton boss Marco Silva was pleased with their 2-0 win over Bournemouth.
Kurt Zouma powerfully headed in his first goal for the club from Lucas Digne's cross following a corner in the 61st minute, before Dominic Calvert-Lewin added the second in the fifth minute of stoppage time.
"It is a really important win," Silva said.
"I understand why you are asking me. We didn't achieve the last results we wanted.
"It was tough so we deserved the three points. We didn't start the match well in the first 20-25 minutes. It was different the last 15 minutes, we controlled the game a bit better and started to create some chances.
"But in that moment, they only had one clear chance and it was a foul on Zouma, I don't understand how the referee didn't see that foul. All the people in the stadium can see but that the referee and his assistants didn't see that is strange.
"In the second-half we started better and faster and breaking that pressure in a different way."
