Everton boss Sean Dyche has sung the praises of Abdoulaye Doucoure for his form this season.

Dyche says Doucoure is at the heart of what he wants from Everton.

"I want the team to play on the front foot - that energy and commitment to press and take the game higher up the pitch - and he is very good at that," he said.

"He can read the play. It's not just his energy it is also his awareness, his tactical understanding, the passing lanes he gets to, the lines when he presses to stop the opposition from passing.

"Some players adapt to it very naturally, some have to learn it and I think he has enjoyed that. His commitment to the cause has been fantastic and then there is his goals and his quality to open up the game in different ways."
