Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti admits he considered signing Dominic Calvert-Lewin while in charge of Napoli.
Calvert-Lewin scored twice for the Toffees as they defeated Newcastle United on Saturday to make it two wins out of two under Ancelotti.
"He was a player we followed as a young striker, he was one of the players we followed but there was no possibility [to sign him]," Ancelotti, who was in charge of Napoli for 18 months from May 2018, said.
"There are a lot of people who have eyes on him.
"He [Calvert-Lewin] is young, all the players that are young need to improve and be focused and he is focused because, as I said, he is a humble guy."
