Everton announce capture of Sparta Prague keeper Jindrich Stanek

Everton confirmed the signing of Sparta Prague goalkeeper Jindrich Stanek yesterday.

The 17-year-old, who stands at 6ft 4in tall, joins the Blues for an undisclosed fee and has put pen-to-paper on a two-and-a-half-year deal which will keep him on Merseyside until the end of the 2015/16 season.

The acquisition of Stanek further strengthens the Club's goalkeeping department, which is currently stocked with senior professionals Tim Howard and Joel Robles, along with youngsters Mateusz Taudul, Mason Springthorpe and Russell Griffiths.
