West Bromwich Albion defender Jonny Evans is backing Northern Ireland to create history at Euro2016.

Norn Iron, who are making their debut in the European Championships, will play Wales in Paris on the weekend for a spot in the quarter-finals of the tournament and Evans is hoping this team can write themselves in the history books.

"We're in such a position here to create history that can last a long time and we don't want to let go of that," Evans said.

"We want to go as far as we can and not waste this opportunity."
