Marc Wilmots has leapt to the defence of Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku ahead of this weekend's Euro2016 quarter-final with Wales.
The Everton star was criticised in the Belgian press for his apparent subpar performance in the 4-0 Round of 16 win over Hungary but Wilmots has laughed off the negativity as his Red Devils continue their preparations for Friday's final eight meeting with the Welsh in Lille.
"Romelu moves a lot," Wilmots told reporters.
"All Thibaut Courtois' clearances come to him and against Hungary he won every ball in the air.
"He runs all the time and tires out defences, creates space for others. Believe me, defenders, when they are up against him, are not laughing.
"Against Hungary he was off the mark with one lay-off. One! He can't get away with the slightest mistake. Everything he does has to come off."
