Espanyol striker Wu Lei has been diagnosed with the coronavirus.

Marca says Wu Lei has tested positive for coronavirus, following the earlier revelation that his teammate Leandro Cabrera had also being diagnosed.

Six people at the Catalan club are now reportedly positive for coronavirus, with five players and a backroom staff member rumoured to be the victims.

The Chinese football federation have since stated that they have maintained close communication with Wu Lei himself and also with the club and that they will provide all necessary assistance as appropriate.
