Nathaniel Chalobah will send the 2015/16 season on loan with Italian club Napoli.
The 20-year-old Chelsea midfielder has made the move to Naples to dip his toe into Serie A football following previous loans in England with Watford, Nottingham Forest, Middlesbrough, Burnley and Reading.
Following the completion of the temporary move, England U21 boss Gareth Southgate has backed Chalobah who embarks on a new challenge as he strives to force his way into the Chelsea line-up down the track.
"We would advocate going and getting first-team football, that's the most important thing for him," Southgate said.
"It's an interesting challenge for him, life experience-wise it's going to be different for him compared to his other loan moves.
"Chelsea have now got three at Vitesse Arnhem who are in our younger age groups and we have a couple of other players at U19s and U17s who have gone
abroad.
"So maybe it's an alternative route. The other leagues will play young players, because that is the model of the leagues and that might increasingly become an option."
