England primed for Euro2016 - Man City keeper Hart

Joe Hart admits the England national team cannot wait to redeem themselves at next year's European Championships.

The Three Lions botched their campaign at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, failing to progress from the group stages after losing to Italy and Uruguay and drawing with Costa Rica.

Since then, however, Roy Hodgson's side have produced seven wins and a draw in their eight fixtures and are well on track to assure themselves a spot in Euro2016 in France next summer.

"We could have left our World Cup group with seven points, comfortably," England number one Hart told the Daily Mirror.

"If we had beaten Italy and Uruguay they couldn't have had any complaints [England lost both games 2-1]. But we've kicked on and won every game since.

"We are really looking forward to France now."

England meet the Republic of Ireland in a friendly in Dublin on Sunday before travelling to Ljubljana to take on Slovenia in Euro2016 qualifying the following weekend.
