Gareth Southgate says Raheem Sterling's fight with Joe Gomez has made England stronger.

The Manchester City returned to the team for Sunday's 4-0 win over Kosovo.

"I think that you have to work through any difficulties you have and the whole group have done that really well," Southgate told ITV.

"I think we come out of this stronger than we started it, frankly."

He added: "I think we're further ahead in being more settled with the group but there is really good competition and we wanted to learn things tonight and I think we did."
