Empoli have paid tribute to fans after their Coppa Italia defeat to AS Roma.
The Tuscans pushed the Round of 16 game to extra time, but were beaten 2-1 by an extremely contentious penalty.
"We thank all of the Roma fans for their support and good humour for our club, which represents a small section of Italian football, but makes principles and values its calling cards," said President Fabrizio Corsi in a statement.
"The many messages we received after yesterday's game prove that all our hard work is appreciated outside of Empoli too."
