Eintracht Frankfurt centre-forward Bas Dost admits Tottenham wanted to sign him last summer.
The Dutchman, however, insists he has no regrets and is happy in Frankfurt.
Dost told BILD: "I heard from my agent that they were really there and were interested.
“But I think it was never an issue that I would become a regular there, and for me I just want to play."
The fact that Spurs manager José Mourinho was interested, made Dost proud: “That has something. But if you look at my career, I've never left a club after just one season. Not now either, especially since I've only been able to show a little here. I'm far from finished with Eintracht."
