Edinson Cavani admits 'difficult' transition period after joining Man Utd

Edinson Cavani has admitted he found it 'difficult' to settle at Manchester United after arriving in October 2020.

The 33-year-old was a free agent after spending seven years with PSG.

Despite having little knowledge of English, Cavani took the leap to join one of Europe's biggest clubs in United.

"I always think that settling in and adapting to a different place, a new culture, different customs, is always difficult," Cavani has told United Review.

"Change is always difficult, as is settling in somewhere new. Even though you try to throw yourself totally into it and to settle in quickly, right now there's a lot of stuff going on around us that is making that process a little bit tougher than usual.

"But, of course, you have your family life at home away from the game, it's never just football alone."

The Uruguayan has shown his pedigree with the Red Devils, having scored seven goals in 22 appearances in all competitions.
