Dyche praises Virginia for Everton FA Cup win

Everton boss Sean Dyche praised goalkeeper Joao Virginia after their FA Cup replay win against Crystal Palace.

The Blues won 1-0 on Wednesday night thanks to Andre Gomes' strike.

Dyche said: "Very pleasing. I think he's moved on a long way this season, even though you haven't seen him. I think from how he trains, how he goes about it, his professionalism and his standing in the team as well.

"He's listened intently in meetings and taken on how we want to work, watched it and absorbed it - and I think that's paid him back. I thought he was very good at Palace and I thought he was good again tonight. He made very clear decisions.

"He made a good save in the first half, a fast reaction save, and then the one at the end where he spreads himself, gets across his goal line quickly but doesn't go too far and makes a good save. I'm pleased for him. He's a good pro and really good around the group."
