Watford striker Jerome Sinclair has signed with VVV Venlo.

Sinclair will spend next season on loan at Dutch club VVV Venlo, Watford have confirmed.

The move had been on the cards after Oxford United manager Karl Robinson revealed he expected the forward to move to the Netherlands.

"We believe Jerome is going to Holland, even though we offered more than the Dutch club," Robinson told the Witney Gazette.

“We did everything we had to do. We were told if we matched that (the Dutch offer) then it would be done.

“We more than matched it, so I was really happy with the fact the board had that clout to do so."
